Ann Peters, Ulster County Legislature — Saugerties community volunteer and former manufacturing project manager who now helps local nonprofits and small businesses with digital communications. Her service centers on strengthening family programs, civic events, and environmental projects.

Anna Shah, Dutchess County Legislature — Poughkeepsie native and attorney who has spent two decades defending vulnerable clients and upholding due-process rights. She’s running for Dutchess County Legislature to expand fair access to services and justice.

Brendan Lawler, Dutchess County Legislature — A lifelong Dutchess County resident, Lawler is the son of a Green Haven corrections officer and a Wappingers elementary school teacher. An Arlington High and College of St. Rose graduate, he has taught at Arlington High School since 2003 and remains deeply committed to serving his community.

Dan Aymar-Blair, Dutchess County Comptroller — Dutchess County Comptroller and former Beacon City Council member who led infrastructure, housing, and public-safety improvements. He spent 15 years in NYC Public Schools operations stewarding multimillion-dollar budgets for students and families.

David Tubiolo, Westchester County Legislature — A fourth-generation Yonkers resident, Tubiolo has long been active in civic organizations and community service across Yonkers and Mt. Vernon. Elected in 2016, he now serves as a County Legislator and a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserve, championing seniors, veterans, and safe, thriving neighborhoods.

DeShanda T. Carter, Orange County Legislature — Author, entrepreneur, and community organizer who founded job-creating event businesses. She mentors young people and builds local opportunities throughout Orange County.

Dorcey Applyrs, Mayor of the City of Albany — Albany Chief City Auditor and former First Ward councilmember who chaired Public Safety. With a doctorate in public health, she advances accountability and community health outcomes.

Ellen Block, Onondaga County Legislature — Licensed Mental Health Counselor serving children, seniors, and underserved neighbors across multiple agencies. She’s dedicated to accessible behavioral-health care in Onondaga County.

Emiljana Ulaj, Westchester County Legislature — An Albanian refugee who settled in Northern Westchester, Ulaj built a career in public service and now works as a union organizer with NYSUT. Elected in 2023, she represents Cortlandt, Ossining, Briarcliff, Buchanan, and Croton, bringing experience from the State Senate, SEIU 32BJ, and the NYS Democratic Committee.

Emma Arnoff, Dutchess County Legislature — Clinical social worker and founder of The Sensory Space, providing therapy and supports for children and families, including neurodivergent clients. Her career spans schools, foster care, and community training.

Genesis Ramos, Orange County Legislature — Orange County Legislator and lifelong Newburgh resident who began public service at 19 in the nonprofit sector. She’s the first woman of color elected to the Legislature and champions equity in services.

Heidi Tucci, Dutchess County Legislature — Public-school teacher for 33 years in Poughkeepsie and Millbrook and a proud NYSUT member. A lifelong volunteer and VFW Ladies Auxiliary member, she centers her work on students and veterans’ families.

Jackie Salvatore, Columbia County Sheriff — A lifelong Columbia County resident and current Undersheriff with over 30 years in law enforcement, Salvatore is a trusted advocate for safety, victims’ services, and fair training standards. If elected, she would make history as the first woman of color to serve as a County Sheriff in New York State.

Jeff McCann, Greece Town Supervisor— Lifelong Greece resident running for Town Supervisor after years of neighborhood service and youth-sports involvement. He’s focused on safe streets, responsive town services, and strong schools.

Jennifer L. Puja, Westchester County Legislature — A Westchester native and Executive Director of the Westchester/Putnam Central Labor Body AFL-CIO, Puja has long championed workers’ rights, housing, and sustainability. The youngest woman ever elected to the White Plains Common Council, she brings a deep commitment to public service and equity.

Joe Scianablo, Hempstead Town Supervisor — Marine combat veteran, former NYPD officer, and prosecutor dedicated to protecting vulnerable residents. He’s running for Hempstead Town Supervisor to deliver public-safety and victim-support services.

Joshua Wojehowski, Cornwall Town Supervisor — Cornwall native and CIA graduate who shifted to public service after 9/11, teaching culinary skills to help New Yorkers gain self-sufficiency. He pairs hands-on workforce programs with local leadership.

Justin Sanchez, NYC Council — A Bronx native and graduate of CUNY’s School of Labor & Urban Studies and NYU’s MPA program, Sanchez has built a career in public service and advocacy. He has served as Chief of Staff to Assembly Member Nathalia Fernandez, Director of Latino Outreach for the NYS Democratic Party, and president of the Stonewall Democratic Club of NYC.

Kayla Santosuosso. NYC Council — Attorney and former nonprofit manager serving immigrant and low-income communities; ex-small-business owner. A decade-long Bay Ridge resident, she’s running for NYC Council District 47 to strengthen local services from Bay Ridge to Coney Island.

Laura Donovan, Ulster County Legislature — Fiduciary financial planner who helps working families and small businesses build stable futures. She’s running for Ulster County Legislature to bring transparent, service-oriented leadership.

Lawrence Dupre, Erie County Legislature — A lifelong Buffalo East Side resident and product of Buffalo public schools, Dupre has dedicated his career to public service. He previously worked as a legislative aide and Community Coordinator with Erie County’s Central Police Services, where he led the Gun Violence Task Force and supported seniors, veterans, and youth programs.

Lindsey Grossman, Ulster County Legislature — Public-health and small-business advocate with leadership roles at Intuit, Stripe, Netflix, Wise, and Block supporting entrepreneurs. She’s running for Ulster County Legislature to advance housing, jobs, and environmental stewardship.

Lisa Kaul, Dutchess County Legislature — Dutchess County Legislator and educator with a Rhodes Scholarship and PhD in Anthropology. She works to deliver equitable county services and evidence-based policy.

March Gallagher, Ulster County Comptroller — Ulster County Comptroller whose audits have saved taxpayers millions. An attorney with public policy and environmental training, she focuses on efficient, transparent county services.

Maria May, Orange County Legislature — An educator and Literacy Specialist with a PhD in Education, Maria has lived in the Southfields Hamlet for the past decade. Elected to the Tuxedo Town Council in 2019, she brings her classroom experience and PTA leadership to local government, fostering collaboration, advocacy, and constructive communication across the community.

Mark Levine, NYC Comptroller — Former bilingual teacher and founder of a community credit union who later served on the NYC Council and as Manhattan Borough President. He championed tenants’ Right to Counsel and science-based public-health policy to protect vulnerable New Yorkers.

Marvin Stepherson, Monroe County Legislature — Retired Rochester Police Sergeant (25 years) and public-safety educator who trained officers statewide. He’s running for Monroe County Legislature (D-3) to strengthen community policing and education.

Mary Lou Carolan, Newburgh Town Council — Library and nonprofit executive who turns institutions into community hubs. As Executive Director of Cornell Cooperative Extension Dutchess County, she leads countywide programs and a $6M+ public-service budget.

Mary McLymore, Newburgh Town Council — Lifelong Newburgh resident with 35 years at the Hudson Valley Developmental Disability Office (OMRDD). A mother and grandmother, she’s rooted in service to families with special needs.

Matt Fascaldi, Orange County Legislature — Eagle Scout, Coast Guard veteran (medically discharged), and Coast Guard Auxiliary volunteer. He serves constituents in Senator Skoufis’s office, rising to Director through hands-on casework.

Michael Cox, Orange County Legislature — Special-education teacher and union member running for Orange County Legislature (D-13). He fights for ethical, merit-based hiring and accountable government.

Michele Madigan, Mayor of Saratoga Springs — Former Saratoga Springs Finance Commissioner who delivered balanced budgets and launched the Spa Solar Park. Now a Saratoga County Supervisor, she helped secure a permanent Code Blue shelter and brings librarian/SBA experience to public service.

Nick Libous, Broome County Clerk — Public-minded technologist focused on secure, accessible records and modern customer service. He’s managed million-dollar budgets and serves on boards including SUNY Broome.

Olena Nicks, Nassau County Legislature — Public servant and community safety leader: first woman Captain of Uniondale FD’s Manor Co. 3 and former Uniondale Library President. She’s managed $70M+ budgets and began service as a Planned Parenthood teen advocate.

Rebecca Sanin, Suffolk County Legislature — Suffolk County Legislator serving on five committees to deliver environmental protection, senior services, first-responder support, and economic opportunity. A lifelong Long Islander, she partners closely with community organizations.

Rich Schaffer, Babylon Town Supervisor — Town Supervisor and former county legislator with decades of hands-on local governance. He focuses on reliable services and practical solutions.

Rita Joseph, NYC Council — A longtime public-school teacher and proud union member, she has devoted her career to empowering students, families, and immigrant communities. On the City Council, Rita champions equity, civic engagement, and opportunity for all New Yorkers.

Rob Santucci, Cicero Town Supervisor — Retired North Syracuse middle-school teacher and longtime substitute educator; earlier worked in local broadcasting. A 45-year Cicero resident, he continues serving students and families.

Sharon F. Owens, Mayor of the City of Syracuse — Deputy Mayor of Syracuse overseeing Police, Fire, and Neighborhood/Business Development. A former Southwest Community Center executive, she’s delivered three decades of nonprofit and municipal service.

Shauna Best, Orange County Legislature — Educator and nonprofit program director who oversees multi-site before-/after-school programs across Orange and Ulster. She’s pursuing a master’s in education to deepen service to local families.

Shawn Lavin, Orange County Legislature — Deputy Supervisor of Amherst and Major in the Air National Guard (2004–present). He blends municipal experience with military service to strengthen community preparedness.

Sparrow Tobin, Orange County Legislature — Public-school teacher and union leader from a working-class Orange County family. He advocates fair funding, strong curricula, and the resources every child needs to succeed.

Stephen Cady, Walworth Town Board — Retired Army officer and Afghanistan veteran. He’s running for Town Board with a focus on responsive local services and support for veterans and newcomers.

Stephen Hunter, Orange County Legislature — Seventh-generation Hudson Valley resident and senior HR executive who builds equitable workplaces. He volunteers locally and applies people-first practices to public service.

Stephen Paluch, Evans Town Council — A disabled U.S. Army veteran, Paluch has served over 34 years with the Erie County Water Authority, where he is General Crew Chief. Married for 31 years with three children, he has been a Sunday school teacher and longtime youth coach in football, soccer, baseball, lacrosse, and wrestling.

Taylor John Bruck, Ulster County Clerk — Kingston native raised by a single mother. As the City of Kingston Historian, he champions local history and civic pride. His public service is rooted in amplifying Kingston’s cultural heritage.

Trevor Redl, Dutchess County Legislature — Founder of Poughkeepsie Weekly and chair of the town Housing Committee, advocating for housing equity and safe neighborhoods. He’s running for Dutchess County Legislature (D-1) to deliver practical, pro-family services.

Trish Prunty, Dutchess County Legislature — Nonprofit leader and fundraiser for 30+ years (FDR Library, ERVK, Bard, DCC Foundation, Planned Parenthood). Now at Family Services, she focuses on philanthropy that strengthens community programs.

Virginia Scott, Orange County Legislature — A lifelong Orange County resident raised in Cornwall. She brings classroom experience and a working-class ethic to community service. She was an educator in the Washingtonville Central School District for over thirty years and currently serves on the Cornwall Town Council.

William Murray, Ulster County Legislature — Two-term New Paltz Village Trustee and 20-year resident focused on equal, safe, and fair treatment for all. He is a volunteer firefighter and is known for cooperative problem-solving across county services.

William Rivera Jr., Oneonta Town Supervisor — Oneonta community leader, 9/11 cancer survivor, and first-generation SUNY Oneonta graduate. He directed the county’s domestic-violence safe shelter and oversaw services for unhoused neighbors.

We are currently only considering endorsements for candidates running for State and Local offices in New York who are on the ballot in 2025. Following the November election we will consider candidates outside of New York.
